America’s Christian Poem of Repentance
Now when America called on the Lord
Have mercy on me take away the sword
He had compassion on his repentant soul
And reconciled him back into the fold
The Lord is gracious his mercy incessant
Call on Him He’s ever present
America’s way was dark and evil loomed
All he saw was gloom and doom
When Christ Jesus came to say
Look to me I am the Way
America opened his eyes and then he saw
A bright Light shinning afar off
God led him back from damnation
Into the glorious light, Salvation
How kind God is America exclaimed
For He has taken away my shame
My soul was lost but now it’s found
From now on I wear a crown
Repent of your ways and the Lord will save
His ears are not dull He hears what you say
You hatch adders and bring forth snakes
Your work is dark, your work depraved
Turn aside from evil do not become prey
To Satan’s evil decadent way
The Lord will see with great dismay
And He will watch as you turn away
Speaking evil in your hearts, He will repay
Rise up America, glory in the Lord
Return to justice away from the sword
Repent and the Lord will come to you
Transgressions forgiven His Word is truth
The Lord will guide you in all your ways
Repent America and you will be saved
He’ll satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched place
Repent America, avoid decay
You’ll be like a spring who’s waters never fail
Thus is the love of the God of Israel
With Love
Felix
This Christian Poem is a call to all non-believers, believers and Christians to be
reconciled back to God. If we become like minded and repent of our sins, God will
restore our nation. 2nd Chronicles 7:14, Reads, “. . .and My people, who are called
by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their
wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal
their land.”
